Blackberry Gin Fizz

And if you love gin, as I do, gin based cocktails are the best.

Blackberry gin fizz

  1. 1 6-oz Container of Blackberries (raspberries can also be used.  Make sure whichever berry you use is fresh and juicy!)

  3. 2 Cups Gin
  4. 1 Cup Fresh Lime Juice
  5. Club Soda
  6. 8 Sprigs of Thai or Sweet Basil

Puree berries and sugar in a blender.

Let stand, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved, about 10 minutes.

Strain puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher. (There will be about 3/4 cups): Discard seeds in sieve.

Stir gin and lime juice into pitcher.

Divide drink among ice-filled glasses.

Top with soda and garnish with basil sprig.
